AIMCH Project

The three-year Advanced Industrialised Methods for the Construction of Homes (AIMCH) project aims to tackle all the challenges the housing sector currently faces including skills shortages, an ageing workforce, poor productivity, low output and low affordability while also becoming a major player in the housing sector by identifying and developing industrialised offsite solutions needed to meet current and future house building demands.

Why Us

AIMC4 Project

We led the triple award winning AIMC4 low carbon homes project. AIMC4 was a unique partnership of companies, created to research, develop and pioneer the volume production of the low carbon homes for the future. It stands for the Application of Innovative Materials, Products and Processes to meet the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 Energy Performance.

The key to the success of the project has been to engage with both known and new suppliers at all levels to develop design solutions and processes to deliver Code 4 (energy) homes through energy efficient fabric and building services solutions, without the use of renewable technologies.

Our Award winning Sigma II Product

Our Sigma® II Build System provides a robust and effective solution to achieving high levels of fabric performance which is affordable, reliable and simple to install – a fit and forget approach.

With excellent air tightness, thermal bridging and thermal transmittance performance, the Sigma® II Build System offers reduced material and labour costs by using conventional materials in a more innovative manner.

Sigma® II Build System takes whole life costing into account, as well as risk and home owner impact. Our approach has been to focus on a fabric solution – recognised as the first priority.

It provides a range of external wall U-values from 0.25 – 0.10, as well as very low levels of air tightness and thermal bridging, demanded from a high performance fabric solution.
